Radiography is a valuable diagnostic tool that helps our veterinarians evaluate many issues that lie just below the surface of your pet’s skin. At Pinson Animal Hospital, our advanced radiography system allows our doctors to examine muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems. Using this technology, we can identify fractures, locate foreign bodies, discover masses such as tumors, measure organ size, and diagnose pneumonia as well as pregnancy. Having this service in-house enables us to discover your pet’s problem and start the appropriate treatment as soon as possible.

Radiography is a painless procedure; however, sedation is often recommended to lower your pet’s anxiety and stress level and to prevent having to take repeat x-rays because of movement. Pinson Animal Hospital is also prepared to control pain associated with manipulating pets that may have fractures or arthritis.
